5 Simple Tips for Online Sellers

I am fond of online shopping because of my busy sked doing projects at work and playing online games like Cabal, so I don’t have time going to malls to shop my clothes. It is a good thing I’ve never encountered a bogus seller so far. When choosing an online seller, I am so picky. If I judge the book by its author, then I will judge the online store by its owner.

For online sellers, are you wondering how to make your products available for everyone? Or are you looking for some tips how to earn more with your online business? Here are some tips what should online sellers do, in order to have more customers and earn more money. These 5 simple tips were based on my experience.

5. Don’t Put Bogus Buyer Album… Instead Put Customers Album

Have you noticed that all of my favorite online sellers don’t have any bogus buyer album? That’s why they are very special to me. Even though they are tempted to do so, because you will really encounter different people with different personality.  But that’s an art of patience.

Here’s my reason why

  • Putting a bogus buyer album, especially on Facebook, is a way of riding your customers away from your store. Not all bogus buyers cancel their order due to money problems. Perhaps, they are disappointed the way you handle them, or they discover that your products are fake.

  • It is so easy to criticize than to win the trust. For instance, you post one picture of a bogus buyer and let your idiot friends or co-sellers making fun or criticize it. It is sure your customer will look for sellers with no bogus album.

  • So instead why not put an album for your certified customers like Fabchic Online did in her Fab Shoppers with Taste. Ask them to comment or post testimonies why they like the products, or are they satisfied with your service. See the difference? Fabchic says it is for her customers with taste, so it encourages the customers to purchase again and again. This is a great plus among other sellers online. Customer testimonies are greater than joining fan page of certified online sellers. Most online buyers today, are looking for real and honest reviews of sellers plus actual experience from other buyers.

  • Another thing, putting the customer album in your page is also beneficial for your co-sellers. Once every seller will post customer album, you will have a huge certified buyer directory. It means, you will avoid dealing with bogus buyers anymore.

4. Answer Customer Quires or Make Some Notes

I admit I’m one of the customers enjoying the pleasure of asking more  questions before placing an order. There are times that I’m so guilty because I asked too much, so I ordered to be fair with the seller. That’s why it is important to answer all their quires. Virtual shopping is different from shopping malls wherein you can try the clothes you want to purchase.

If ever you are so tired of answering, or you have more customers to handle all the  time, be specific with the dress descriptions, so they won’t ask you. For tracking numbers, you can make notes and tag your customers. And Funtoshopwith Shop did a great job in creating notes for tracking numbers.

3. Be Honest

In terms of pricing, be fair your customers understand that you are doing business for money. Once you have a fair price, even someone would say it is cheaper on wholesale store, you are confident that you price is decent enough. Plus reasonable pricing makes your products available for everyone.

Don’t be overwhelmed when a customer asks you “Bakit Mahal?”, customers have something different in their mind like me. I wanted to know better the seller by asking that question. If the seller tells me that she needs profits in her business Viola! That’s an honest answer so far. Of course you need to earn profits stop doing business if you’re not making money out of it. I hate sellers telling me it’s from US that’s why the products are so expensive. Telling me that your Korean apparels are from US? Are you kidding.. Honesty is the best policy.

2. Treat your Customers Nicely Regardless if they Purchase or Not.

Most sellers only treat their customers when they ordered. Why don’t treat them fairly, no matter they will buy your products or not? Customer service is a must. If you are treating your customers nicely, it is sure they will recommend you to their friends. You don’t need to add more anonymous Facebook users as your prospect clients. Let the word – mouth marketing did it for you.
