The OverPricing Facebook and Multiply Korean Apparel Resellers

Posted on May 5, 2010 by darlyn

Reading Laureen’s post about her Bangkok Shopping Experience, I discovered that Korean Clothes are really affordable in Bangkok Mall and even in Divisoria  compared to Korean clothes you can find in Multiply and Facebook.   Yes,  we’re being kind of ripped off by the Korean resellers’.

Try to imagine paying for Korean dress around P700 plus you need to shoulder the shipping fee (which around P120 if it ships to Mindanao) with a total cost around P800.  Plus  the quality of the dress not really worth your money.

Due to my curiosity, I search for different Korean dress wholesale online, and I’m glad they come in several selections and most of the Korean dresses are being sold around $4 to S7, which is around 200 – 300 in Philippine money.  To avoid being burden of paying the shipping, me and my friends decided to order together, which is a smart choice.  Within 2 weeks, we got the item and am glad to know we spent around 400 – 500 for each dress  (including the shipping fees and custom tax since we exceed $60) – a great saving than buying them around P800 from Facebook and Mutiply Korean resellers.

Aside from the big savings, you can get from buying dresses directly from wholesale store are, you have a peace of mind to do business  with reliable sellers.  Unlike buying it on Facebook and Multiply, you might end up wondering if they are bogus sellers and you don’t need to worry they might add your  pics in  their  bogus buyer album. (LOLS). Lastly, you don’t need  to wait too long for your orders to come.

Here are the list of Korean Wholesale Dress you can trust.

1.  http://www.wholesale-dress.net/

Wholesale

This online store supply more than 30,000 clothing styles and update about 80 styles per day. So you have a lot of options from style, designs and colors. If you and your friends will order together you can divide the shipping per dress,  you’ll be happy to pay P100 per dress for shipping.

2. http://www.ccby88.com/ Most of their Korean dresses are being sold around $6 – $7 in Peso it costs around P300. And most of the Korean apparel resellers in Facebook and Multiply market these for around P900 to P1,000. So expensive. Plus, by bulk-orders  you can avail discount per dress.

3.  http://www.yocowholesale.com/

yoco handbags

Next Korean online seller is the Yocowholesale. For sure some of your tried to order cute Korean Pink, blue, and other color handbags. Well, how would you react if you discover they are being sold around $8 to $10 in Yoco? Buying handbag for around 400 or 600 is different from buying them for more than P1,000.

4. There are other Korean wholesale websites selling more than $10 per dress. But I’ve never found Pinoy seller with that products. And a lot more. Just ask Mr. Google for the long list okay? Be creative and resourceful,  so you won’t regret it in the end.

Perhaps, some Pinay resellers would blame me if they lose most of their customers of publishing this post. I fully understand that Business is a Business,  they need some profit minus the capital. But I think it’s too much. Sorry!  In today’s economic status, everyone wants an instant money and in contrary, no one would waste money for dress that in just few hours you lose some of its button. Unless you’re paying for it less than P500 you wouldn’t mind the quality. Maging Wais na Mamimili.I

Hi! Thanks for picking up on my blog entry. :) These websites are eeeeevil, especially the first one. Shipping is pretty cheap!

  2. Lizz says:

Is there a minimum number of dresses per order? Do you have to pay for customs fees when they arrive? :)

  3. darlyn says:

    @ Laureen

I am an avid fan of your Iambourgeios blog. Thank you for giving us the idea that we’re being kind of ripped off by the Korean resellers”

Yeah I really love those sites. they have excellent customer service too.

  4. darlyn says:

    @ Lizz
there’s no minimum number when you order.. Since you need to pay for shipping then it is a wise idea to order 4 – 5 items. Me and my friends tried to ordered together and divide the shipping per dress..we pay around 115 per dress plus the item is around 200 – 300. To avoid custom tax avoid ordering more than $50. :D

Plus. they are accepting Paypal and major credit cards. but I highly recommend Paypal for safest transaction.

  5. mary anne says:

sis anu ung 115 shipping fee per dress ba un so pag nagorder ka 4 na blouses, so x4 din na 115 ganun ba un?

  6. darlyn says:

    @ mary anne

yes per dress po ang computation namin for shipping bcoz we ordered 4 together to save money .. so we pay around 115 per dress plus the item worth 200 – 300 lng so more or less we pay 400 per dress mas makkasave than buying P800 – P1,000 in Facebook or in multiply. :)

  7. melissa de leon says:

hi askk ko lng po…paano nyo pay ung tax?

  8. darlyn says:

    @ melissa de leon
we pay tax thu COD or cash on delivery, after that we stop ordering korean dresses more than $60 05 $50 to avoid paying tax and it works! :)

  9. melissa says:

you mean po pgkadeliver sau saka po nyo pay yung tax? tnx.

  10. melissa says:

mga how much po pay nyo ng tax noong less than $60 or $50 ang price ng korean clothes?tnx…

  11. darlyn says:

    @ melissa

    yup un po ang COD

but if mag order kau below $50 na Korean items wala po ung tax. ang meron lng pong tax ung items na worth more than $50 and above :) kaya kung gus2 mo walang tax order not more than $50 po

  12. melissa says:

    oh…thank you for the info… :)

  13. layne says:

    what courier did you use?

  14. darlyn says:

    @layne
    via UPS

  15. Jo says:

Darlyn, this blog is really helpful, im glad i found this! just wanna ask, which of these sites ka pinakanasatisfy sa quality ng items?

  16. Jo says:

ms darlyn, how much tax did you pay for more than $50 order?

  17. darlyn says:

    @ Jo

thanks. I am glad you find it helpful. I ordered in wholesale -dress.net not really 100% satisfied with the quality of the items.. but at least I’m happy to buy the iteams in reasonable price.. although in just few minutes nawala ko halos buttons ng Korean dresses :D

for more than $50 items we pay P2,000 for the tax, since apat kami nag order together, bali 500 lng nabyaran each. more or less we pay 350 – 400 for each dress.

  18. Jo says:

yes very affordable nga ang price.. is it possible kaya for example my total order is worth $100, tapos 2 separate shipping ang gawin ko, para tig $50 dollars worth lang and walang tax.. mas okay nga magcombine orders na lang kami ng friends ko and my sister, mas tipid :D

  19. darlyn says:

    @ jo
yup mag combine nalang kayo ng orders para mas tipid. Pwede din po 2 seperate shipping ang gagawin mura lng naman yung Shipping Fee. Enjoy Shopping me.

Anyway, you can contact their customer representative for assistance :D

  20. Jo says:

have you tried ordering at yoco? how was it?

  21. miney says:

hi! can you post some pics?

  22. Myka says:

Sis, so safe and can be trusted ung mga sites? Not a scam? How long before u received ur items? Tnx!!

  23. nyhn says:

hi..have you tried purchasing from this sites?

  24. Mae says:

hi, i asked wholesale.net if they can suggest anything to avoid the taxes if i buy more than $60 from them. They suggested declaring as a gift or a lower declared amount in the invoice. Do you think these suggestions would work? i am seriously thinking of buying from them. thanks!

  25. darlyn says:

    @ mae

yup.much better. most of the resellers in Facebook and Multiply are doing that way to avoid paying too much taxes.. if the wholesale-dress.net would agree on that idea… why not..:)

  26. Jackie says:

im planning to purchased korean clothes too, but i didnt pay yet.
im confused because it all cost for $60.25 (P 3610.00) and dont have any assurance that i will recieved all of my orders. they said that they will send it via EMS.
**IM NOT INFORMED ABOUT THE CUSTOMs TAX.

    please help me.. thanks.

  27. Jeon says:

The shipping fee costs $27. I guess I should buy $50 worth of items para sulit.

  28. Jeon says:

I hate to be stupid but the shipping fee is not included on the $50 right? The $50 is for the total item purchased excluding the shipping fee?

  29. mavie says:

    @ms darlyn

just want to ask if just incase my order is not exceeded in $50 does it mean that i don’t have to pay for tax? but how bout the weight? are they going to ask much expensive if it exceeded?

  30. doodle says:

Sis, is ccby88.com okay? i haven’t read negative comments so far.

  31. Chivi says:

    HAve you tried ordering shoes/sandals?

  32. yIPie says:

    both may advantage and disadvantage.
    RESELLER d2 PINAS
advantage: at least pede ka makabili khit isang item lang
    disadvantage:pricey nga lang

    WHOLESALER ONLINE
    advantage: cheaper
disadvantage: some wholesaler online may minimum order and iisipin mo pa ung taxes na kelangan bayaran

    opinion lang po.. :)

  33. rhia says:

hi! I discovered this post from, Lauren’s blog, nonetheless. This is really helpful as I love the designs of the Korean dresses however, I’m discouraged by the price and the big shipping fee which is 100-120 within Manlia [that I dont understand because I order online ..including Lauren & Liz's ukay store. haha.. and shipping is just 50php]

Kudos to you and I really appreciate this post! Now I know where to score cheaper Korean dresses. ^_^

  34. Clariz says:

Paano po yun, dapat hindi lagpas ng $50 yung price ng items para wlang tax? excluded or included yung shipping fee sa $50 na yun?

  35. Mae says:

Hi there! Ask ko din sana kung included na yung shipping fee sa $50 to avoid custom tax?

  36. casey says:

Hi ask ko lang kung po kung magpay sa wholesaledress, kailangan dollar ang ibayad ko?

  37. grace says:

Hi , i want to ask something about the custom tax , is it the clothing below 50 usd or clothing + shipping below 50 usd ? so we not get any tax already in philippine ?

  38. tes says:

i so wished i read the whole comments here before i ordered from wholesale-dress, we are first time resellers but we try as much as possible not to rip off anybody.

first off, i love their cute dresses kahit not sure if maganda ang quality. we only put extra charge for the international shipping and a bit more for income.

and then here comes the package, voila, ang laki ng customs tax! well serves me right for not reading your whole blog. :D

but i won’t stop, you see kung bibili rin sa mall here ay mahal at di pa kasing cute ng mga nsa wholesale shops like those you mentioned.

  39. melissa tan says:

hello there. I found your entry moments ago and it helped me a lot. I am fond of buying korean dresses from a friend na pricing from 700-1000 pesos. over ha. eh less than 500 pesos, solve na pala. It would be my first time and I will pay thru paypal. you think mabilis lang shipping nila? sa experience nyo? fedex cguro sakin. kasi nman dito na ako mammimili ng mga xmas presents eh. hehe.

    Thanks!

  40. aya says:

hi.the $50 amount, does that include shipping?
coz my total amount was $64 inlcuding shipping and i’m scared i’m gonna be charged taxes for it.
also, since i chose fedex, it should be delivered straight to my house right? i don’t have to pick it up somewhere in manila…

  41. Rebecca Davies says:

I tried searching too for the cheapest korean items in the Philippines since I don’t have paypal which is the easiest mode of payment required in the websites you mentioned. I found out that 101store.blogspot.com offers the cheapest since they offer free shipping to Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and other south east asian countries. Their lowest price is P495 for a gorgeous dress which is also of good quality. So I paid, P495 for a dress and another P 250 for a cardigan, which is their promotion. Totally free shipping and no hidden charges. Their items come from China but they paid the custom tax which is worth P1000.

  42. meili says:

so for $77 worth of package? how much will pay for the custom tax? scary naman…

  43. floyd says:

    hi,

ive been using wholesale-dress since last year.. so far no problem encountered. but i stopped buying apparel and shoes for reselling since the quality is really not that good. but i still do buy for myself. its justifiable on my part to markup my items a bit higher since the shipping from china to qatar is really expensive. still some of their items are good, but i cannot fully assure that all their items are in good quality..

  44. xoxo says:

i wont disagree ksi my point ka.. currently im opening my on-line shop and stumbled here.. pareho lng kung tutuusin.. kung ang mabilhan mo ay ung re-seller ng re- seller to the 10X power… oo pricey nga.. pero kung ang seller ay sa direct supplier i think hindi nmn.. xmpre like what u said mdmi binbayaran taxes, shipping and i’ts business kailangan patungan.. mali lng ng iba is buy agad hindi nla alam n may ms mura pa na re-seller not going out side of the country :] right now i think i found it..

  45. ALex says:

i recommend you another shop, they have no minimum order ,what’s free shipping to all of the world.Their site is :www.shoefair.net.All of you can have a try.

  46. dia fernandez says:

  47. dia fernandez says:

  48. Alyssa says:

Hello, sis! I’m an avid reader of your blog. Ask ko lang po kung yung ‘not more than $50 to avoid tax’ eh included na ba dapat doon ang shipping fee? or yung total purchased items lang? Kasi I tried ordering sa ccby88 less than $50 yung purchased items ko pero + $24 for the shipping fee, so magiging $70 + siya.. Thanks. :)
