Olive Oil As Hair Treatment
Posted on September 24, 2010 by darlyn
Back when I was in high school, I remember that I had a long curly healthy hair. But now because of stress and some unhealthy lifestyle, I am facing hair problems such as hair fall, split ends and sometimes dandruff (eww).
I really wanted to go for hair rebonding, yet I am still hesitant since my hair wasn’t that thick as what I like. So for now, I am making some preparations before the Rebonding Day (wink)
With a few research about hair treatment, I discovered that olive oil is great not only for dry hair, it also makes hair smooth, silky and shiny. With a regular use ( once every week), perhaps I won’t need hair rebonding any more.
There are many ways on how to apply Olive oil into your hair.
First, you can mix the olive oil with egg. After mixing thoroughly, you can apply it onto your scalp and hair. Soak it for a while for at least 30 minutes and rinse well.
Another option that I found online is mixing olive oil with Avocado.
Here’s the Formula.
INGREDIENTS
1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)–and save the peel to use in another beauty formula
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1. Mash avocado and mix with other ingredients, stirring thoroughly to combine.
2. Apply mixture to hair and allow it to remain for 30 minutes or longer.
3. Shampoo and condition as usual.
These are just few of many easy recipes we can use to treat our hair naturally. Have a noticeable and shiny hair.
